I used retired paper and stamp sets for some of these projects. I like to show ways you can use your stash of pretty DSP.  These cards are easy enough for the beginner while at the same time you can add embellishments if you choose. Have fun crafting!

Three on Thursday April 21, 2022 The 3 S's - Stack, Slice, & Shuffle

 Hello Stampers!

I was introduced to this technique by another Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator, Cindy Brumbaugh. When I seen how easy this was I decided it would be a great way to use retired Designer Series Paper. Cindy called it Stack, Cut, & Shuffle, I am calling it Stack, Slice, & Shuffle or the 3 S's for short.

I made several sets using different DSP and each one is different. This technique can be used for a simple card or you can add ribbon or other embellishments to dress them up.  You can use any sentiment for any occasions.

Measurements:

Card base cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

4 different designs of DSP cut 4" x 5 1/4"

You then want to cut the DSP at one time at 2 3/4" - rotate this stack and cut again at 3"

The long strip you cut off you will rotate and cut it at 2"

Make sure you keep all the stacks in the same order as you cut them.

I found it easier if I laid the 4 stacks in front of me and started with the smallest pieces in the upper right corner. I then began to shuffle, move the top piece to the back of the stack, then on the other narrow stack move the top two pieces to the back of the stack. The last stack to shuffle is on the bottom left side and you move the top 3 pieces to the back of the stack. Now you have 4 different designs.

I laid the pieces on the card base to see how it looked before I adhered the pieces down. You will have a 1/8" border around your card.

April 2022 Demonstrator Training Blog Hop Featuring Discontinued Paper by Stampin' Up!® My mistake 😃

Greetings fellow stampers! Thank you for stopping by today. April has been a rainy month in Missouri. Just wish life hadn't gotten in the way so I could have spent more time in my stamp studio.

I am participating in Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop. We are Stamin' Up! ® Demonstrators from around the world who participate each month in the Blog Hop, I can't wait for you to see all the beautiful cards made this month. Each of us are working towards building our business and reaching goals we have set for the year. We truly appreciate your support!

I wasn't thinking clearly when I designed my customer Thank You cards. Not only did I use a retired DSP, Harvest Meadow, but I also used the retired Harvest dies. Both products were favorites of mine. I didn't realize this until I was typing this post. They are still pretty cards and can be made with any DSP and silhouette die. I did decide to show you another version of the card using current product that are carrying over to the New 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. I used the Meadow Dies and the Ombre Specialty Paper (retiring).

This card was made using Calypso Coral, Basic Black, and the Ombre Specialty Paper (retiring at the end of April). The die used is from the Meadow Dies that are a carry over to the New Annual Catalog 2022-2023. I love the Ombre Shimmer Paper and the black layer sets off the color, the picture doesn't do justice to the card.
