Lake of the Ozarks Got Your Six Fishing Tournament Thank You Cards

Images © 1990-2023 Stampin' Up!®

Happy Saturday!
Monday, September 25, 2023 will be the start of the 2nd Annual Lake of the Ozarks Got Your Six  Fishing Tournament. Not just anyone can be in this tournament, it is limited to Veterans only.  This year they have 11 Veterans participating and they hope to grow next year to the max of 20.  My husband is the Post Commander of Al Whitaker VFW Post 6514, Osage Beach, Missouri, and works closely with the Got Your Six program. The tournament runs for four days and the Veterans have a great time fishing on Lake of the Ozarks. The organization recruits fishing guides to take on the job of Captains, for each Veteran. They know the best fishing spots to hopefully catch the biggest fish. This time gives the Veterans a chance to relax and have fun.

The organization, Got Your Six secured donations from area businesses to sponser this four day event. A local resort is donating the accomadations, a grocery store in the area is donating all the food. This event is totally Free to the Veterans. This is just one way our community honors those who have served.

I  wanted to do my part to say thanks to the Veterans and welcome them to the Lake of the Ozaks, so I did what I do best, make cards for them. I also wanted to recognize the Sponsers and Captains so they will also receive a homemade card. I used the Gone Fishing stamps with the matching Designer Series Paper. The process of making the cards didn't take longe once all the cardstock and DSP was cut. I hope these cards will bring a smile to those who receive them.

If you, or anyone you know is a Veteran who likes to fish, I invite you to contact me and I will share the information with my husband so they can participate in 2024.

Coffee, Chat, and a Card with Suzie Q

Tomorrow is the first day of fall 🍂 here in my neck of the woods. The trees are beginning to change colors and the temperatures are getting cooler. While fall is not my favorite season, I do enjoy it for several reasons. I love comfort foods, homemade soups, chili, and my hubby's famous chicken pot pie. 🍲 The colors of the trees change to bright vibrant oranges, reds, and yellows. I don't like when said leaves fall, makes for outdoor work. I would much rather be creating cards.

Today I hosted a Coffee, Chat, and a Card. I do a Coffee & Chat everyother Friday, at 10:00am CDT, today I thought I would add another C word. I wanted to show how you can make simple cards in a hurry using a card sketch. I don't believe in re-inventing the wheel, so I search for sketches and make them my own. I always change something about them. Once I started creating this morning I couldn't stop so I created two. Both cards were given away during our chat. Congratulations to Karen and  Shirley. Catch the replay Here. I appologize for the quality, usually it is much better, there must have been issues with my internet provider.

Stampin' Up! ® Winter Meadow Suite

Only 95 days until Christmas

Today I was playing around with the Winter Meadow Suite, or at least part of it. Here is one of the cards I made that I wanted to share with you.

I love Pretty Peacock, and I'm so glad they added it to the core color collection.  I haven't decided what to stamp for the inside greeting but you must decorate it. I used a piece of the same DSP cut at 3/4" x 5-1/4".

Christmas Circle Card using Deckeled Circle Dies

Is it too early to begin making Christmas cards?

I demonstrated how to make this fun easel card on my weekly live, September 14, 2023. Life has been so busy I just didn't get it posted. I just love the Oh Holy Night Designer Series Paper Stampin' Up! ®️ offered in the September to December 2023 Mini Catalog. The "Night Devine"dies were used to complete the scene and the greeting was from the "Stars At Night" stamp set.

September 2023 Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop Featuring the Inked Botonical DSP

Welcome to this months Demonstrator Training Blog Hop. I know once you see all the beautiful cards posted you will fall in love with the coordinating products.  I am using the Inked Botanicals DSP for my focal image of my cards.

I am a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator from Lake Ozak, Missouri, in the USA. My part of the country is experiencing cooler weather as we head into the fall. The season of changing colors, hayrides, and campfires.

I chose to use a card sketch for my customer appreciation cards this month. Sometimes crafters get in a rut or have a creative block and with a sketch you can get those juices flowing again, This sketch is easy to duplicate for any type of card using any paper combination.

All Images © Stampin' Up! ® 1999-present

I chose to use Crushed Curry for my card base, with an embossed piece of Very Vanilla.  Lost Lagoon is cut at 2-1/4" squares, and the Inked Botanicals DSP  are 2" squares. This is so easy to create since the Desinger Series Paper coordinates on both sides. For the inside I used a scrap of DSP at the bottom of Very Vanilla 4" x 5-1/4". A few Classic Matte Dots colored with my Calypso Coral Blend Marker just finished it off. You can see a complete list of supplies used down below.

I would love to send you one of these cards when you place an order this month using my current Host Code found in the upper right corner. If you place an order of $50 or more you will also receive a free card kit that you can put your own creative touches on. I offer a Loyalty Program if you're interested in earning free products from me. If your order is over $150 Do Not Use my host code, I want you to reep the Host rewards from Stampin' Up ®, you will still receive the free card kit and appreciation card.

What do you think of my cards? Leave me a comment below, I love to hear from you.
