Stampin' Up!® Three on Thursday with Suzie Q

Hello! Here in Central Missouri the temperatures are getting cooler. The last holiday weekend at Lake of the Ozarks is over, the traffic won't be so bad with the tourests leaving. I always hate to see Labor Day come because I know the pool will be winterized and colder weather is coming. One great thing about fall is sitting outside around a campfire roasting marshmellows at night and making cards during the day.

This weeks Three on Thursday cards are fun and simple to make. If you are new to stamping these can be made using very basic supplies. There is a full list below of all the supplies used for each card.

Watch the full video for how to instructions.

For the sunflower card I used one of the New In Colors, Starry Sky. The card base is 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4- 1/4". The white layer is from basic white and I used the second largest scallope die from the Scalloped Contours dies. A piece of Starry Sky cut 2-5/8 x 4, and a piece of Basic White 2-7/16 x 3-13/16". (odd cuts to match the inside of the scalloped die)

  • Stamp the small sunflower in Starry Sky on the cardbase.
  • Stamp the large sunflower in Starry Sky ink in the corner of the small Basic White matt.
  • Stamp your setiment in Starry Sky close to the bottom.
  • Wrap yourthe ribbon abour both layers and tie a knot.
  • Adhere the layered matts to the card base.
  • Using the Starry Sky Stampin' Blends Light color two white Classic Matte Dots and place on the outer ring of the sunflower.
  • Cut another scalloped die from Basic White for the inside.
  • Stamp the inside greeting with Starry Sky.
  • Stamp the small sunflower in Starry Sky in the bottom right corner.
  • Repeat the process of stamping the small sunflower on the inside right of the card base.
  • Ahere the greeting to the inside of the card.

The Christmas card for this week features the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP), on a Garden Green card base.

  • Card base 5-/2" x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4".
  • DSP 4"x 5-1/4" cut into two pieces, 2-1/2" for the top and 2-3/4" for bottom.
  • Use the border die from the Penned Flowers Dies and cut from a 1/2" x 5" piece of Real Red Glimmer Paper.
  • Die cut two candy canes from the DSP using the Candy Cane Dies.
  • Use a Layering Circle die that will fit your greeting & stamp your greeting in Garden Green.
  • Adhere both pieces of the DSP to the card base.
  • Adhere the Red Glimmer Paper in the center to cover the seam.
  • Use Dimensionals to pop the top of the candy canes - glue the bottom down.
  • Use Dimensionals to pop the circle over the candy canes.
  • Stamp the inside greeting on a piece of  Basic White 4"x5-1/4" in Garden Green Ink.
  • Use the leaf stamp from the Sweet Candy Cane stamps to decorate the inside of your card.
Our last card is pretty simple once you know how to make it. I CASED this from another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Amy Cook. I loved how it looked and wanted to give it a try. You simply die cut the shape of the flowers from the top layer, then stamp and die cut the flower image on Basic White. Once you have colored the image you position the card layer on the card and glue the die cut inside. Using the Adhesive strips place the strips around each side and around the die cut portion to pop up from
the colored image giving a 3D effect.
  • Basic White cardbase 5-1/2"x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4"
  • Soft Sea Foam 4"x 5- 1/4"
  • Scraps Basic White (flower stamp/die and greeting label)
  • Soft Succulent Satain Ribbon,  & White Frayed Ribbon
  • Honeybee Home stamps and Honeybee Blooms Dies
Thanks for stopping by. If you enjoyed these cards leave me a comment, that is the best compliment I can get.

The first card is the Christmas card for this week. I love the combination of Crumb Cake cardstock and the DSP from the Painted Christmas pack. The card wasn't as difficult as I made it look on the video, I promise.
