Suzie Q's November News

Finally it's Friday! What a week, I've had. Monday started off pretty good, I was desinging my projects for my Three on Thursday at 3pm Facebook Live. Ran into some snags but overcame those.

Tuesday nights I have meetings with my Trail Life USA boys and American Heritage Girls. We just completed our fall fundraiser selling Little Caesars Pizza Kits. We sold 179 kits between 12 youth. One of the incentives for the children to sell 15 kits or more was having the opportunity to pie a leader. They think this is great. I took 5 pies in the face! Yep, this is my granddaughter who earned 7 pies and gave them all away to the other children. For her good deed she got one also. It's messy but oh so much fun. The kits were all delivered on Friday so I was sorting pizza kits and putting them in our church freezer.

I have sent out my Monthly News Letter, if you would like to read a copy click the link.  Suzie Q's November News Letter (mailchi.mp)

Here are the projects I designed for Three on Thursday at 3pm, November 4, 2021. These are simple and easy to make for any occasion. It's a great way to use up those scraps of Desinger Series Paper. One is a treat box, two are notepad holders and one Christmas card.

Notepad Supplies: *I used retired products since I wanted to see how they turned out before using my new papers.*

Card Stock your choice of color measures 7 3/4" x 5 1/8" scored at 3 3/4" and 4.
Desinger Series Paper 4 7/8" x 3 3/4"
Scraps for the front greeting. I used the Many Happeings Stamps and the Many Messages Die on the Bermuda Bay cover. I used a piece of DSP from a retired paper pack, Bubbles & Fizz (2017/2018), and retired Bermuda Bay Ribbon about 16".
For the Poppy Parade pad I used a piece of the Beautiful Penned Black & White paper from Sale a Bration, and the stamp set Lighthearted Lines. I also used the Rectangle dies. The ribbon is Poppy Parade which is discontinued.
I purchased the 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" (could be 5") from the Dollar Tree, they come in a pack of 5 for $1.00.

The treat box was one I seen on Pintrest made by Pootles from the UK. I used Just Jade Card stock, and the DSP is from the Pequin Playmates (Sale a Bration). The Pine Tree punch fits great on the front for the greeting from Penquin Place, I also stamped the tiny snowflakes on the tree and tied gold cording.
For the box you need a piece of cardstock that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". You score along the long side at 2", 4", 6", 8" and on the short side score at 1 1/2", 3 1/2" and 4 1/2".
After scoring you will cut where the dash lines are, cutting off both sides on the left of diagram the middle section is the side tab. you just fold the box up and adhere with Tear n Tape.
You will need 4 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 squares of DSP to place on each side of the box and 4 pieces of DSP 1 3/4 x 3/4 for the top.

The card used up scraps cut 3 1/2" x 3/4. I used 5 different patterns from the Tidings of Christmas DSP. They were layered on a piece of Basic White 3 3/4" x 5" layered on a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Evening Evergreen. I used the sentiment from A Christmas to Remember.

Hope you enjoy these projects!

Happy Stamping,

Suzie Q
