Stampin' Up! ® with Suzie Q's Stamping

Not really sure where July went and here it is August. I have been super busy the past few months. My mom was in the hospital 3 weeks in July and I left for a Blue Star Mothers of America convention in Tenneesee the first week of August. Just now getting back into the swing of things. Surprise visit from my grandson and his girlfriend this week so that's been nice. Haven't seen him since Christmas.

It felt so good to be live again on Thursday, August 10th. I really missed all my stamping friends. Simple cards using the Regals 6x6 DSP pack and Delightfully Eclectic 12x12 DSP. I am loving the Delightfully Eclectic. This is a mega pack and so many different designs to use for all occasions.

For this card I used Fresh Freesia for the card base and layered a piece of the Delightfully Eclectic DSP.
Petal Pink was used for the front greeting using the Nested Essentials Dies. The greeting comes from the Courage & Faith stamp set stamped in Fresh Freesia. Using Old Olive I stamped the greenery, and added some Brass Brushed Butterflies. Stampin' Dimensionals were used to lift the greeting.

The second card has a bookmark for those who still like a hard copy book. I know not many people read "books" but I like the feel of a book in my hands. This is a Blueberry Bushel card base 5-1/2 " x 4-1/4". layer a piece of Basic White 4" x 5-1/4" on the Blueberry Bushel. Use a piece of DSP cut 4" x 5-1/4" then cut in half diagnally. You want to use liquid glue only on the outside and bottom edges to adhere to the white layer. This will form a pocket for the bookmark. Use the largest die from the Nested Essentials Dies and cut one from Basic White. Using the two largest dies cut a frame from Blueberry Bushel. I stamped the greeting in Balmey Blue using the In The Moment set towards the bottom of the white die shape. To fill in the top I used the speckel dots from the Colors and Countour stamps stamped off with Balmy Blue. Balmy Blue & White ribbon was used for the bookmark pull. You can add a piece of Basic White to the back to write or stamp a greeting, Stamp the image of the girl reading and use the largest oblong die from the Nested Essentials Dies. You can either color the image or leave outlined with Smoky Slate.
